Painted from life the open studio ‘chicken coop’ of artists Emily Polishook-Thompson and George Thompson. I arrived late and took up the only open spot available. Challenged by full profile, the canvas was wiped clean three times before the composition pleased me. Then she flowed right out. Tenacity and persistence paid off in that moment that almost ended in a bare canvas
